Welcome to our website! I hope that it gives you a flavour of our wonderful school and the great work that happens within it every day.
I am very proud of the children, staff and governors at Hemingford Grey Primary School. Together we have created a school which has a community focus and develops the ‘whole’ child. Our children are an absolute joy to be with.
Our vision statement summarises our core purpose and the approach which keeps the children at the heart of all we do. I look forward to meeting and working with you all as part of our school community.

The Eco Committee have organised for the school to take part in 'Walk to School week' - Monday 16th to Friday 20th May - The children will also be taking part with some fun activities during the week!
It is with gratitude and appreciation we accepted the kind donation of trees from the company Naturepac on behalf of Creating Nature's Corridors as part of National Tree Week 2021. It has become increasingly apparent that our young people are passionate and invested in environmental issues and have a motivation to do their bit, to improve their outdoor spaces. Last week, a group of children from across the school enthusiastically took part in the planting of a selection of fruit trees with the support of Richard and Kate from Naturepac and our dedicated local community gardeners. On discussion, the Year 5/6 children have said "it was fun taking part and it is so important we plant more trees in our local area to help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment from the local vehicles."
