I've been part of the board since 2016. I live in Hemingford Grey and work for Cambridgeshire County Council adult social care early help team. One of my three children is still at HGPS with the other two now at secondary school. I enjoy supporting the school in this valuable and important governance role.
I have worked at Hemingford Grey Primary School since 2019 and have been lucky enough to teach many of the children and work in close partnership with the families. I will be working strategically with the governing body to drive the school strategic development plan.
I was delighted to join the Hemingford Grey Team as deputy headteacher in 2019. Prior to this I have been teaching and leading in schools in Milton Keynes and Hertfordshire. My roles in school also include, Pupil Premium Lead, Domestic Abuse Lead, Mental Health First Aider and Behaviour Lead. My passion and motivator is to develop an inclusive school where everyone feels valued and successful.
I've been on the Governing Board since 2002 when my (now grown-up) children were at the school taking on a variety of roles and chairing for 10 years. Professionally, I work at the British Antarctic Survey, and I also volunteer with the RSPB and on School Admission Appeals Panels.
I am a Mum of three, two who attend Hemingford Grey School and Pre-School. I have been a secondary school teacher for 10 years, and a Safeguarding lead too. I joined the governing board around a year ago as a parent governor and hope my safeguarding and education knowledge supports me in my governor role.
I am a mum of two, who moved to Hemingford Grey in 2022 and joined the governing body to give something back to the village. I work implementing development and humanitarian programmes globally, and hope to bring the variety of my professional experience to support me in the governor role.
I am a mum of two young boys and live in Hemingford Grey. I am a primary school teacher and have worked in various education roles since I moved here from Scotland 10 years ago.
I have lived in Hemingford Grey since 2016 and one of my two children is still at the school, with my eldest now at secondary. I work for central government where I specialise in risk, governance and strategy.
I have worked in education for 16 years, most recently at Hills Road Sixth Form College. In
various roles I have had the opportunity to work closely with the senior team and governing
body. I understand the important role governors play in supporting the leadership team,
providing accountability, and in helping the school achieve their long term goals.
Although my work has been based in a different sector of education, I have an appreciation of
the challenges and pressures that face the sector as a whole. Assisting the school governors
is a great opportunity for me to use my time and experience give something back to the
community that has welcome us so kindly, as well as to get to know the school my daughter
will hopefully attend.
I joined the Governing Body in 2024 when I moved to Hemingford Grey. I am an HR Consultant working in the education sector for the last 20 years and keen to utilise my skills and knowledge for the benefit of the school and community and also learn some new skills along the way. I can be seen walking round the village regularly with my black labrador - Maisie - feel free to say Hi! I am looking forward to supporting the school going forward.
I have lived in the village for more than 40 years and I am chairman of the Hemingford Grey Flood Protection Group, while my wife set up and is chair of Hemingford Hub. My son-in-law is chief executive of the Careers and Enterprise Company, having previously been founder and head teacher at School 21 in east London, and a school governor himself. He has been a pioneer of oracy skills. I have talked to him at length about the needs and responsibilities of being a governor. I have travelled widely, both in my role as chairman of the largest media training company in Europe and as a member of the press.
I started Clerking for the Governors in May 2022. I am a Mum of Four, with three children currently attending Hemingford Grey School. My job is to carry out the administration duties for the Governors along with attending meetings and taking the minutes.
